Download the App or Go to the Website
- On your smartphone, download the Uber app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Alternatively, you can visit the Uber website on your computer.
Open the App or Website
- Once installed, open the Uber app on your phone. If you are using a computer, go to the Uber website using your preferred web browser.
Create an Account or Log In
- If you are a new user, select the option to create a new account. For existing users, simply log in using your current credentials.
Enter Your Mobile Number
- When creating a new account, enter your mobile phone number. Make sure it is a number you can receive SMS messages on as Uber will send a verification code to this number.
Verify Your Phone Number
- Check your SMS messages for a code from Uber. Enter this code in the app or on the website to verify your phone number.
Provide Your Personal Details
- Fill in the required fields with your personal information, including your full name and preferred email address. Make sure to use a valid email address as it will be necessary for communication and receipts.
Create a Password
- Set a strong password for your account. Make sure it is unique and not easily guessable to ensure the security of your Uber account.
Add a Payment Method
- Uber requires a payment method for booking rides. You can add a credit or debit card at this point. Alternatively, other payment options like PayPal or Uber Cash may also be available, depending on your location.
Complete Account Setup
- Review all the details you've entered to make sure they are correct. Once you have confirmed that everything is accurate, submit the information to complete your account setup.
Start Using Uber
- Once your account is set up, you can start using Uber to request rides. Enter your desired pickup and drop-off locations, and choose from available ride options.
