- Click on User Settings, which is typically represented by a gear icon located at the bottom of the Discord window, beside your username.
- Navigate to the My Account section under User Settings, which you will see on the left sidebar.
- At the bottom of the My Account screen, you will find the option to Delete Account. Click on this option to initiate the deletion process.
- If you own any servers, Discord will prompt you to either Delete or Transfer Ownership of your servers before you can continue. Make sure you resolve server ownership issues as required.
- After clearing server ownership concerns, click on Delete Account once again.
- Discord will likely ask you for your password to confirm your identity. Enter your password and confirm your decision to permanently delete the account.
- Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the deletion process.
Important Notes
- Deleting your Discord account is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, all of your data including messages, friends list, and any server access will be permanently removed.
- If you change your mind after starting the deletion process, Discord typically gives you a grace period during which you can recover your account. Make sure to reactivate during this period to regain access.
