Access Your Quora Account
- Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the Quora website at www.quora.com.
- Log in to your Quora account using your existing credentials — email/username and password.
Navigate to Settings
- Click on your profile picture or the profile icon located in the top-right corner of the screen. This will open a dropdown menu.
- Select the “Settings” option from the dropdown menu to proceed to your account settings.
Find the "Privacy" Tab
- Inside the “Settings”, look for the “Privacy” tab on the left sidebar. Click on it to view your privacy options.
Choose to Deactivate
- In the “Privacy” section, scroll down until you find the option labeled “Deactivate Account” or similar.
- Click on this option. Quora may prompt you for a reason for leaving or offer alternatives to deactivation.
Confirm Deactivation
- Read any information provided about account deactivation. This may include what happens to your content and any conditions regarding reactivation.
- Proceed to confirm deactivation by following the prompts. You might need to enter your password again to finalize the process.
Consider Permanent Deletion
- If you wish to permanently delete your account, note that Quora's process may involve first deactivating your account as an initial step.
- After deactivation, contact Quora support directly to request complete deletion of all your data if that option is not readily available in the settings.
