How to Delete Your Indeed Account
- Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the Indeed website by entering www.indeed.com in the address bar and pressing Enter.
- Log in to your Indeed account if you aren’t already logged in. To do this, click on the 'Sign In' button at the top right corner of the page and enter your email address and password.
- Once logged in, click on your registered email address or your profile icon, which is typically situated at the top right of the page. This will open a dropdown menu.
- Select 'Account' from the dropdown menu to access your account settings.
- In the account settings menu, look for an option related to account closure or deletion. This is typically labeled as 'Close my account'.
- Upon selecting 'Close my account', you may be asked to confirm your decision. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. This may include verifying your identity or confirming once more that you want to delete your account.
- If prompted, provide feedback on why you are choosing to delete your account. This step is optional and can usually be skipped by selecting an option like 'Prefer not to say'.
- Finally, confirm your action, and your Indeed account will be scheduled for deletion. You may receive an email confirmation of the account closure.
Important Considerations
- Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to past applications, saved jobs, and your resume stored on Indeed.
- Account deletion is irreversible, so make sure to download any data you wish to keep before proceeding.
- If you have any issues during this process, consider visiting the Indeed Help Center or contacting Indeed's support for further assistance.
