Access Your Uber Account
- Open the Uber app on your mobile device, or visit the Uber website on a browser.
- If you're not already logged in, enter your credentials to access your account.
- Ensure you're using the correct account you wish to delete.
Navigate to Settings
- In the app, tap on the menu icon located in the top left corner of the home screen.
- Choose “Settings” from the menu options to access your account settings.
Select Privacy Settings
- Scroll down within the Settings menu and find the “Privacy” section.
- Tap on “Privacy” to view privacy-related settings for your Uber account.
Initiate Account Deletion
- In the Privacy settings, locate and select “Delete Your Account.”
- The app or website may ask you to verify your password to proceed with account deletion for security reasons.
Confirm Deletion
- Carefully read any information provided about what happens when you delete your account.
- Confirm that you understand the consequences and wish to proceed by tapping “Confirm” or a similar option.
Wait for Deactivation
- Uber typically deactivates your account for 30 days, during which you can reactivate it if desired. After this period, the account is permanently deleted.
- You might receive a confirmation email or notification detailing the deactivation process.
Uninstall the App (Optional)
- If you no longer plan to use Uber, you can uninstall the app from your device to save storage space and reduce clutter.
