Access Your Upwork Account Settings
- Log in to your Upwork account using your credentials.
- Click on your profile picture located in the top-right corner of the page.
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu to access your account settings.
Navigate to Contact Info
- Once in settings, look for the "Contact Info" tab on the left sidebar.
- Click on "Contact Info" to go to the page where you can manage your personal details.
Close Your Account
- Scroll down to the bottom of the "Contact Info" page.
- Look for the "Close my account" section.
- Click the "Close my account" button.
Confirm Closure
- Upwork will prompt you to confirm your account closure decision.
- Read through the information provided to ensure you understand the implications of deleting your account.
- If you are sure, confirm your action by following the on-screen instructions.
Provide Feedback (Optional)
- Upwork might ask you for feedback to understand your reason for leaving.
- You can choose to provide feedback or skip this step.
Check Email Confirmation
- After closing your account, check your registered email for a confirmation message from Upwork.
- Ensure that you have received an email confirming the closure of your account.
Important Considerations
- Once deleted, your Upwork account cannot be recovered.
- Ensure to withdraw any remaining funds and close active contracts before proceeding with deletion.
- Consider downloading important data that you might need in the future.
