Identify the Cause of Distortion
- Ensure that the Bose Frames are fully charged. Low battery can sometimes cause audio distortion.
- Check if the Frames are connected properly to your device. A poor connection can lead to distorted sound.
- Make sure the audio files or streaming quality you are using is not inherently distorted. Try playing different tracks to see if the problem persists.
Update Firmware
- Install the Bose Connect app on your smartphone or device if you haven't already.
- Open the app and connect your Bose Frames.
- Check for any available updates and follow the app instructions to update the firmware.
Reset Your Bose Frames
- Turn off the Frames by flipping them upside down and laying them on a flat surface for 2 seconds.
- Hold the button on the right temple for 10 seconds until you hear "Ready to Connect" or see the blue light blinking.
- Re-pair the Frames with your device via Bluetooth.
Adjust Equalizer Settings
- Go to your device's audio settings and find the equalizer options.
- Try adjusting the bass, midrange, and treble settings to see if it reduces distortion.
- Some music players also offer equalizer settings—use them to fine-tune your audio output.
Check for Physical Damage
- Inspect the Frames for any visible damage or loose parts, especially around the speakers.
- Contact Bose support for assistance if you discover any physical issues or if updating and resetting did not resolve the problem.
- Consider warranty options if repair is required.
