Check for Software Updates
- Ensure your TicWatch S has the latest version of software. Developers often release updates to improve device performance and fix battery draining issues.
- Go to your watch settings and tap on "System" > "About" > "System updates" to check for any available updates.
Adjust Screen Brightness and Timeout
- Reduce your screen brightness to save battery life. Go to 'Settings' > 'Display' > 'Adjust Brightness.'
- Set a shorter screen timeout duration by navigating to 'Settings' > 'Display' > 'Sleep.'
Manage Notifications and Background Apps
- Minimize the number of apps sending notifications to your watch. Use your companion app on your phone to restrict apps that are allowed to push notifications.
- Regularly check background apps and close those that are not needed. This can be done by swiping left to clear apps from the recent section.
Disable Unnecessary Features
- Turn off connectivity features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when not needed. Go to 'Settings' > 'Connectivity' to toggle these features.
- Disable the 'Always-On Display' to conserve power. This can be found under 'Settings' > 'Display.'
Optimize Watch Settings
- Use battery saving modes or features if available. Many watches have a 'Battery Saver' option in the settings menu.
- Limit the use of GPS as it significantly drains the battery. Toggle GPS off when not in use, located in the 'Settings' > 'Location' menu.
Regularly Restart Your Device
- Perform regular restarts of your TicWatch S to prevent software glitches that may cause excessive battery drain.
Factory Reset (As a Last Resort)
- If all else fails and your battery is still draining rapidly, consider resetting your watch to factory settings. This can resolve persistent software issues.
- Backup your important data, go to 'Settings' > 'System' > 'Disconnect and Reset,' and proceed with the factory reset.
