Activate the Shortcut Using Siri
- After setting up your shortcut, you can trigger it by saying, "Hey Siri," followed by the shortcut name, such as "Turning on the Living Room Lights".
- Ensure that your Philips Hue system is within a good range of the Wi-Fi to receive the command accurately.
- If Siri does not execute the command, check your Siri and HomeKit settings to ensure permissions are correctly configured.
- For better accuracy, try to keep the shortcut names short and specific to avoid confusion in voice recognition.
Maintain and Update Shortcuts
- Regularly check your Philips Hue app and Apple's iOS for updates as they may improve functionality and compatibility.
- Adjust and refine your shortcuts as your lighting needs change. You can edit them via the Shortcuts app.
- If a shortcut stops working, check the configuration in the Shortcuts app and ensure all HomeKit settings are current.
