Set Up the Arlo Account
- Ensure that you have set up an Arlo account and connected your cameras to this account. Without an active account, you cannot create or manage camera groups.
- If you haven't done this yet, download the Arlo app or visit the Arlo website to create an account and complete the camera setup process.
Access the Arlo Application
- Open the Arlo app on your smartphone or log in to your account on the Arlo web portal using a web browser.
- Make sure you are logged into the account connected to the cameras you wish to group.
Navigate to Settings
- In the Arlo application, look for the 'Settings' menu, which is typically located in the main menu or dashboard.
- Select 'Settings' to access the configuration options for your cameras and account.
Select Camera Groups
- Within the settings menu, find the option labeled 'Camera Groups' or a similar term like 'Manage Groups'.
- This section allows you to create, edit, or delete groups of cameras for easier management and monitoring.
Create a New Group
- Click on the option to add or create a new group. This will open a setup interface where you can specify group details.
- Enter a name for your group that reflects its purpose, such as 'Home Security' or 'Office Surveillance'.
Add Cameras to the Group
- You will be presented with a list of your connected Arlo cameras. Select the cameras you wish to add to the new group.
- Ensure you choose the correct cameras by verifying their names and locations before adding them to the group.
Save the Group Configuration
- After selecting the cameras, look for a 'Save' or 'Confirm' button, and click it to finalize the creation of your camera group.
- Once saved, the new group will appear in your camera list and settings, allowing for easy access and control.
