Download the iRobot Home App
- Start by downloading the iRobot Home App on your smartphone. It's available for both Android and iOS.

Connect Roomba to the App
- Ensure your Roomba is charged and turned on.

Create a Map of Your Home

Select Areas for Custom Cleaning
- Once the map is available in the app, use the ‘Smart Maps’ feature.
- Tap on ‘Room Divider’ if you need to divide the space into smaller areas or merge areas for an efficient cleaning pass.
- Label the rooms or areas in your map for easy identification.
Set Cleaning Preferences
- In the app, go to the ‘Custom Clean’ settings.
- Select the rooms or areas you want Roomba to clean.
- Choose the cleaning frequency and intensity for each room. For instance, you might want the kitchen to be cleaned more frequently or intensely than other areas.
Schedule Your Cleaning Passes
- Use the ‘Schedule’ feature in the app to set specific times for each custom cleaning pass.
- Set different schedules for different days based on your lifestyle and home needs.
Monitor and Adjust
- After a few runs, check if the Roomba is cleaning as expected.
- If necessary, adjust the room maps or cleaning preferences to maximize efficiency.
Troubleshooting
- If Roomba seems to miss spots or avoid certain areas, ensure all sensors are clean and free of obstruction.
- Updating the app and Roomba firmware can resolve any technological hiccups or glitches.
