Enable HomePod Personal Requests
- Make sure your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is updated to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. Personal Requests are available on devices with iOS 11.2.5 or later. Ensure that your HomePod is also up-to-date.
- Make sure that your HomePod is set up using the Home app on your iOS device. Open the Home app and verify your HomePod is listed as one of your connected devices.
- Ensure that two-factor authentication is enabled for your Apple ID. Go to your Apple ID account page to verify or enable this feature.
- Turn on Location Services on your iOS device by navigating to "Settings" > "Privacy" > "Location Services". Ensure it is enabled, as this feature is required for Personal Requests to function properly.
- Open the Home app. On the "Home" tab, select the House icon to view home settings. Confirm that you are the primary user for the HomePod by checking that your Apple ID is listed under "People".
- In the Home app, tap on your HomePod. Scroll down and select "Settings". Here, toggle on "Personal Requests". You may see additional instructions or prompts that assist you in setting up this feature.
- Verify Siri has access to your calendar, reminders, and contacts, as Personal Requests use these data types. To check, go to "Settings" > "Siri & Search" and ensure each has been allowed.
