Check HomePod Settings
- Open the Home app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap on the Home icon at the top left corner to access Home settings.
- Make sure the "Use this Home as Default" option is enabled. This ensures your device uses the correct HomePod setup.
Ensure Software is Updated
- Check for any pending iOS, iPadOS or HomePod software updates. Update your devices to the latest software versions.
- To update the HomePod, open the Home app, tap on the Home icon, scroll to ‘Software Update’ and download any available updates.
Verify Network Connectivity
- Ensure your HomePod and iPhone/iPad are on the same Wi-Fi network. Mismatched networks can lead to synchronization issues.
- Restart your router to refresh the network connection if necessary.
Re-enable Intercom Feature
- In the Home app, tap on the Home icon and select "Home Settings."
- Select "Intercom" settings and toggle off and back on the Intercom feature. This can resolve intermittent issues.
Check Language Settings
- Ensure Siri language settings on the HomePod match the language settings on your iPhone/iPad.
- To adjust, go to iPhone/iPad settings, select "Siri & Search" and confirm the same language is set there and on your device under "General" > "Language & Region."
Reset HomePod
- If problems persist, consider resetting your HomePod. Open the Home app, long-press HomePod icon, tap on "Settings," then scroll down and choose "Reset HomePod."
- After resetting, set up your HomePod again through the Home app on your device.
