Check Your Internet Connection
- Ensure that your smartphone or tablet is connected to a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data network.

Ensure the Thermostat is Online
- Verify that the Ecobee thermostat is properly connected to Wi-Fi. You can check this directly on the thermostat by going to the settings menu.
- If the connection seems to be an issue, restart your thermostat by removing it from the wall and placing it back after a few seconds.
Restart the Ecobee App
- Close the Ecobee app completely on your smartphone or tablet.
- Reopen the app and check if the thermostat appears.
Log Out and Log Back In
- Within the Ecobee app, navigate to the account menu and log out of your account.
- Log back in with your credentials and wait for the app to sync with your thermostat.
Verify Login Credentials
- Ensure that you’re using the correct email address and password associated with your Ecobee account.
- If necessary, reset your password using the password recovery option on the login screen.
Check Device Compatibility
- Confirm that your smartphone or tablet’s operating system is supported by the Ecobee app. Updates to the app may require newer versions of iOS or Android.

Re-add the Thermostat to Your Account
- If the thermostat is not visible, consider removing the device from your account and adding it again. This can be done via the ‘Add a Device’ option in the app.
- Follow the prompts to pair your thermostat with your Ecobee account once more.
