Open the Wemo App
- Ensure that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Wemo devices.
- Launch the Wemo app by tapping the Wemo icon on your device’s home screen or app drawer.
Access Wemo Devices
- Once the app is open, wait for it to detect all your connected Wemo devices. This may take a few seconds depending on your network speed and the number of devices.
- Navigate to the main screen displaying all your Wemo devices.
Manage Rules
- Tap on the “Rules” tab, which is usually located at the bottom or in a side menu depending on your app version.
- You should see a list of existing rules that you have set up in your account.
Edit an Existing Rule
- Select the rule you want to edit by tapping on it. This opens the rule details and settings.
- Modify the necessary settings such as time schedules, devices affected, and rule frequency.
- Once you have made your changes, save the rule by tapping on the "Save" button.
Create a New Rule
- If you need to add a new rule, look for an “Add Rule” button or a plus (+) icon within the “Rules” section.
- Follow the prompts to define rule parameters including time, days, and Wemo devices to be controlled.
- After setting up the rule conditions, complete the process by saving the new rule.
Delete a Rule
- To remove an unnecessary rule, open the “Rules” section and locate the rule you intend to delete.
- Tap on the rule and look for a “Delete” option, which may appear as a trash bin icon or within a menu.
- Confirm the deletion if prompted to ensure the rule is removed from your system.
Troubleshooting Rules
- If rules are not functioning as expected, double-check the time settings and verify if the app and devices are updated to the latest firmware version.
- Try restarting your Wemo devices and the app to resolve any connectivity issues.
- Consider removing and re-adding the rule to refresh its parameters.
