Resetting the Belkin Wemo Insight Plug
- Make sure the Wemo Insight plug is plugged into an outlet and powered on.
- Locate the reset button on the Wemo Insight plug. It's usually a small button either on the side or the underside of the plug.
Performing the Reset
- Press and hold the reset button for about 5 seconds. You can use a paperclip or any small pointed object if necessary.
- Observe the LED lights on the device. After holding the button, you should see the LED blink orange. This indicates that the device is resetting.
- Release the button once the LED starts blinking orange. The plug will take a few moments to reset, and it may go through a boot-up sequence.
- Wait for the LED light to turn blue. This shows that the Wemo Insight plug has successfully reset and is ready to be set up again.
Setting Up the Plug Again
- Open the Wemo app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. The app will guide you through connecting the plug to your Wi-Fi network and configuring it to your preferences.
- Ensure that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you wish to connect your Wemo Insight plug to.
- Once the setup process is complete, the plug will reappear in your Wemo app, and you can start using it again as before.
