Access the Ecobee Thermostat
- Stand near your Ecobee thermostat and tap on the screen to wake it up.
- Make sure the thermostat is unlocked if it is set with a passcode.
Navigate to Settings
- On the main screen, look for the "Menu" button usually located at the bottom-left corner. Tap it to enter the menu options.
- Scroll through the options until you find "Settings." Tap on it to proceed into the settings menu.
Select Comfort Settings
- Within "Settings," locate and select "Comfort Settings." This section allows you to adjust your desired temperature settings for different times like "Home," "Away," and "Sleep."
- Choose the comfort setting you want to adjust, such as "Home" or "Away." Tap on your choice to edit.
Adjust Temperature Ranges
- Once in the desired Comfort Setting, find the section that shows the current temperature settings.
- Use the slider or numerical input to set your desired Heat and Cool temperature ranges.
- Ensure the temperatures are set in accordance with your comfort preferences.
Save Changes
- After setting the desired temperature ranges, look for a "Save" or "Apply" button, which usually appears at the bottom or is part of a "back" or "done" option.
- Tap to save the new settings and exit to the main menu.
Verify Settings
- Double-check the main screen to make sure your new temperature settings are reflected correctly.
- Monitor the thermostat briefly to ensure it starts operating within the new set range.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
- If changes are not saved, verify that your thermostat is up-to-date with the latest firmware and network connection is active.
- If any issue persists, consider rebooting the device or checking the Ecobee app for further diagnosis tools and to make changes remotely.
